Two Opportunities to help at Itasca Food Pantry

During this unprecedented world pandemic, the Itasca Food Pantry continues to serve our clients and community residents who are in need. We continue to be open each Saturday from 9:00-11:00 a.m.; however, we have modified the way we operate in order to meet the safety guidelines set forth by the CDC and World Health Organization as well as our local, state and federal government officials.

Here are few ways you can help during this crisis:

1. Volunteer

Some of our regular volunteers are older and have health conditions that make it unsafe for them to come to the pantry and help our clients. To meet our needs, we are asking for volunteers to sign up for specific tasks. Please complete our form to register.

Volunteer Signup for Saturday, April 27th.

2. Replenishment of Food

The Board has been receiving inquiries regarding how the community can help to replenish the food on our shelves for the clients. Unfortunately, we cannot accept goods from food drives at this time, because the more hands food goes through, the more likely we are to spread COVID-19. Donated funds will be used to purchase foods at wholesale prices or better.

At this time we would appreciate cash donations so that we can purchase the food that our clients need. This is the safest way to proceed for both our clients and volunteers. Your patience and understanding at this time is greatly.
